Anneli Wins Gold, Silver and Bronze at the British Masters Winter Throws Championships

On Saturday 8th March Anneli Sydenham competed in the British Masters Winter Throws Championships which was held at Oxford’s Horspath athletics track. It was a beautiful sunny day and Anneli made the most of the fine weather.

First it was the Hammer and a Silver Medal with a throw of 28.06M her best season opener, followed by the Discus and a new PB of 21.58M earning her a Bronze Medal. Next, it was the Javelin, not normally her favourite event, but that didn’t stop her winning a Gold Medal with a throw of 14.02M. Finally, it was the Weight, no warmup throws in this event as it weighs 9.08kg!! She threw another PB of 8.62M to win another Silver Medal and secure a club record.
