Volunteering opportunities

In some aspects, the club is doing really well. The young athletes continue to perform at a high level and at the other end of the age range the Men's Vets have qualified for the final of the Southern Vets track and field.(and the weekly update ain't too bad either - Ed)

However, the club is in real need of more help from other members. We have a significant number of members that continue to put a lot of effort into keeping the club going, but there are other jobs that need doing. Please consider if you could help undertake some of these roles either by yourself or jointly. There would be plenty of support to help you understand what is needed and when.

Championship Entries - We need someone who would be willing to undertake the role of entering runners into the championship events over the winter. This would involve advertising cutoff dates and completing online entries. Ideally, this would also involve managing the teams on the day but this could be shared. At present, without any help, we may not be able to have runners in the County, Southern or National Championships.

Officials Secretary - Events only run with officials and we need to supply these if we are able to enter various competitions. We need someone to step forward to coordinate officials for various events.

Coaches and Officials - We are always in the need of new and additional coaches and officials. These are the lifeblood of the club. Please consider whether you would be able to help in this area.

We are looking for athletes, partners, or parents to help fulfil these roles.

We need you to keep the club running.

At the moment we are at serious risk of not entering runners for the main championships, this is an urgent request for help. Please contact myself or any of the committee members with offers of your help.
