Jorjia March selected for England XC team

Congratulations go to our National XC Champion, Jorjia March, who was selected to represent England in the annual Schools International Cross Country fixture on 23 March. This selection followed a second placed finish in the English Schools Cross Country at Pontefract on 16 March.

Jorjia travelled to the Sport Ireland Campus in Abbotstown near Dublin and finished a creditable 7th place in this international fixture, earning a gold medal with the England team in the process.

Jorjia had this to say, after the race:

“Having run for England last year, my main aim for the 2023 XC season was to be selected again, so it was pleasing to achieve that. The international probably wasn’t my best race but it was great to be part of the team and enjoy the whole experience of being an international athlete.”
