Buntingford 10

On Friday 30th December seven Stags braved the elements to run in this popular, friendly and very well organised 10 miler. The rain and cold winds, particularly at the start of the race, made it ‘challenging’ and although advertised as flat the first half of the race had a definite incline which helps to explain the negative splits some of us achieved. The race is run entirely on roads and pavements (thankfully!) and in spite of the weather we enjoyed it, especially the hot drinks at the end.  

Nick Scott, home from university for the Xmas holidays, led the Stags home in a time of 1:23:59 followed by Helen Hoyle (1:24:27), Dave Byrne (1:27:21), David Scott (1:28:43), Linda Dworowski (1:34:37), Tracey Deeks (1:38:26) and Ros de la Bertauche (1:46:05).
